Ms. Dibya Laxmi Bajracharya (Chairperson & Technical Director)

Soil Science, North Carolina State University

One of the renowned soil specialists of Nepal, Miss Dibya Laxmi Bajracharya has a Diploma in soil science from North Carolina State University and a M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry from Tribhuvan University. She has worked as a soil scientist in various institutions of the Government of Nepal like Soil Science Division of the Department of Agriculture (DOA) and National Agriculture Research Council (NARC). After her retirement in early 90’s, Ms. Bajracharya started this soil lab, which is now the oldest privately owned soil and plant lab of Nepal. She has also worked with several Government and Non Governmental Institutions as a consultant and assited organizations to develop and implement sustainable soil management interventions. Even in her eighties, Ms. Bajracharya is actively engaged in research work in the lab as well as field.

Mr. Santosh Shrestha (Quality Manager)

M.Sc. Soil Science, Tribhuvan University

Mr. Shrestha is a Soil Specialist with five years of working experience in the field of agricultural research and extensions. Mr. Santosh Shrestha is pursuing his post-graduation in Soil Science from Tribhuvan University. He has completed his under graduation in Agriculture with specialization in soil science. He has also completed sustainable soil management course from Wageningen University. Mr. Shrestha research expertise includes, soil fertility and nutrient management system, researches for improving laboratory analysis of soil and plants with adoption of farmers friendly technologies, monitoring and mapping using GIS tools. Beside the researches, Mr. Shrestha has expertise on data analysis of qualitative and quantitative researches. His other experiences are laboratory analysis of soil and plant, soil sampling methodology, survey methodology, remote data collection, GIS mapping, field data collection, data analysis and interpretation. Mr. Shrestha has received several national and international trainings on laboratory analysis of soil samples including one from CFQC&TI, India. He also has research articles in many international journals.

Ms. Monika Thapa (Shift Incharge)

B.Sc. Agriculture, Purbanchal University

Ms. Monika Thapa is involved as a shift incharge here at ATC. She holds an undergraduate degree with a major in Soil science from Purbanchal University. She has a sound knowledge and experience of field and laboratory soil analysis. She also has experience in research design, data analysis, soil mapping.She has also participated in various trainings organized by ATC as a resource person.

Ms. Nima Singh (Assistant Microbiologist)

Ms. Nima Singh has been involved with ATC for last five years since 2018 as an Assistant Microbiologist and assists in day to day functioning of the laboratory. She has expertise in sample preparation, microbial routine analysis of soil, plant and compost.

Mrs. Ramita Bajracharya (Laboratory Technician)

Mrs. Ramita Bajracharya has more than a year of working experience in ATC laboratory with Bachelor degree in Business administration from Tribhuvan University. She had participated and has secured outstanding remarks in Soil Analysis training conducted by Soil management Directorate, Department of Agriculture in 2065B.S. She carries routine analysis of soil, compost and plant sample and has expertise in handling laboratory equipment’s like Automatic Kjeldahl Digestion-Distillation set and Spectrophotometer.

Mrs. Rohini Bajracharya (Laboratory Technician)

Mrs. Rohini Bajracharya has been involved with ATC for last two decades as a laboratory technician. She has closely worked with senior soil scientist Ms. Dibya Laxmi Bajracharya for the last 20 years and is one of integral members of ATC. At present she handles activities such as sample preparation, routine analysis of soil, compost and plants. She has participated in various soil camps carried out by ATC along with performing day to day activities in the laboratory.

Mrs. Amrita Dahal has been involved with ATC for the last six years. She works as a laboratory technician and assists in day to day functioning of the laboratory. She has expertise in sample preparation, routine analysis of soil, plant and compost. Along with her work in the laboratory she has also participated in various soil camps organized by ATC.
